Dear Colorado Ugandan Community Member/Friend:

Greetings to you and your family! Hopefully, the year 2015 is going down well… The winter season is behind us and the spring season is upon us. The last week in February, will always be memorable with freezing temperatures and daily snow that has broken the 103 years record!….http://www.denverpost.com/weathernews/ci_27609545/denver-sets-new-february-snowfall-record! Just like the past 5 years, on June 20th, come join us at the Cherry Creek State Park to welcome the Summer season in style.

EVENT LOCATION:

4201 South Parker Road, Aurora, Colorado, 80014

Find us at the usual Dixon Grove shelter and we promise you a day filled with fun in an environment that promotes: Friendship, Togetherness and Love among Ugandans and friends living in the State of Colorado. Lots of food(Nyama Choma), Drinks, Play and more! The kids love to swim, bring them along.–

EVENT OVERVIEW:

Amazingly, the Colorado Ugandan Community and Friends 2015 Summer Fiesta(Picnic), is now the largest scheduled outdoor Uganda Festival event in North America. This is the 6th time we will be gathering as a Ugandan Community and friends living in the State of Colorado at the Cherry Creek State Park

Objective/Purpose:

The number one objective of the United Ugandans Association of Colorado, is to..” Bring Ugandans and friends living in the State of Colorado together. Once we are always together, then we can freely: Network(Jobs, Education..etc). Showcase our Ugandan heritage/culture/traditions through music, dance, food ..etc. Children born to Ugandan parents or friends with adopted children from Uganda will always find our social functions interesting and educative. We also get to socialize as a people. We can never be shy to feel Ugandan and we shall always be proud Ugandans living in the State of Colorado! Big up COLORADO UGANDAN COMMUNITY AND FRIENDS!

We are also working on a concert gig that will start immediately after the picnic….details coming soon!
